Raised as an orphan by his abusive uncle and mean cousins, he escapes that life only to go to a boys boarding school just to suffer there as well. When will things turn around for him? All he wants is a more interesting life. Things seem to take a turn when he gets a job as a governor at a big fancy secluded mansion. His pupil is a sweet little boy, all the servants are nice, and it’s a quaint and pretty area. The only problem is his boss is a grumpy, brooding woman… but maybe he’s starting to get a little crush?? ………. -oh and weird stuff keeps happening around the house. Mysterious fires, noises in the walls, disembodied laughter…wait a minute- WTF kind of mad house has our boy gotten himself into??

Carter Morland has read way too many gothic novels… it’s almost like he thinks he’s IN one.
